JD Vance wildly accuses Biden administration of starting 'wars' while weighing whether to run for president

US Vice President JD Vance has falsely accused the Biden administration of “starting” wars, as he discussed whether or not he would consider running for president in 2028.

In an interview with Fox News, Vance was asked if he would “continue the MAGA agenda” and run for US president in the next election. Vance said he was not focused on the presidential election, and was instead intent on doing “a good job,” including ending wars.

“I’m not focused on politics, I’m not focused on the midterm elections in 2026, much less the presidential election in 2028. When we get to that point, I’ll talk to the president, we’ll figure out what we’re going to do,” he said.

“If we do a good job, the politics take care of themselves…I want to stop all the ridiculous wars that were started by the previous administration. There’s so much to do, man, and I don’t really think about what happens in 3.5 years.”

In July 2024, former president Joe Biden proudly declared he was the “first president of this century to report to the American people that the United States is not at war anywhere in the world.”

While Biden did not initiate any wars, or commit troops to the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, the US is involved in both wars by contributing funds to both Israel and Ukraine.

Under Biden, the US withdrew from the war in Afghanistan in 2021, in an event Donald Trump has described as the “most embarrassing moment” in the history of the US. Following the withdrawal, the Taliban took control of the capital, Kabul.

The Afghanistan pullout was widely criticized, with Biden himself acknowledging it was “messy.”

Trump has vowed to end the war in Ukraine, and has tried to pressure Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to accept a peace deal.

He has also warned Hamas that there would be “hell to pay” if Israeli hostages weren’t returned immediately and urged Israel to wrap up their offensive and “get it over with.”
